Tucson ’s National Association of Letter Carriers will again help “Stamp Out Hunger” across Southern Arizona with your help. Now in its 16th year, the Stamp Out Hunger effort is the Old Pueblo’s largest single-day food drive, with letter carriers nationally having collected more than 836 million pounds of food from postal customers since its inception. Locally, requests for donation have increase 50 % in the last two years, your donation of nonperishable food will be delivered to the food bank and used to feed hungry children, families, seniors, the working poor and anyone else in need over the difficult summer months.
This year, 325,000 bags will be distributed in your neighborhoods, support the Community Food Bank by placing a bag of nonperishable food next to your mailbox. Thank you for your continued support; we look forward to this year being the best one yet!
